Paylocity’s IT team is looked upon as a resource for all areas of technology.  We enjoy finding the right tool for the job, so we use a combination of commercial, open source, and purpose-built solutions.  When challenged, team members are encouraged to find the best solutions and the given flexibility to perform tasks in their own way.  Because we manage a wide variety of systems, one will rarely be locked into working on a single task.  Additionally, each IT member is encouraged to grow in experience and technical knowledge by pursuing certifications and experimenting with new technology.The IT Systems Administrator reports to the IT Manager and is part of the team responsible for administration and availability of all IT infrastructure.  This person will install, configure, and deploy new systems, perform upgrades and maintenance, and complete IT-related projects.  Additional duties include resolving trouble tickets and assisting other technical departments.Performance Objectives/Job Duties

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot physical server hardware.
  • Setup and configure switches and routers in data centers, call centers, and corporate offices.
  • Manage multiple vSphere and ESXi environments.
  • Administer SAN arrays and storage fabric, designing for performance and redundancy.
  • Ensure continuous health of systems through monitoring/alerting tools.
  • Create and update scripts to automate manual processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and perform off-hours work as needed.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on network administration with IOS-based switches and routers
  • CCNA certification or equivalent skillet
  • Experience with STP, OSPF, and BGP
  • Experience with vCenter and ESXi
  • Experience with SAN arrays, FC, iSCSI, and server-side HBA configuration.
  • Working knowledge of AD and Windows.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, while still meeting ticket and project deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong love of learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.                              
    • Proficient knowledge of stored procedures, triggers and T-SQL
    • 6+ years of Microsoft SQL Server database experience
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL 2008/2012/2014
    • Experience with SQL transactional replication, AlwaysOn High Availability groups and clustering
    • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
    • Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services
    • Experience with DTS and SSIS
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • MCITP:DBA or equivalent a plus
    • Experience with other database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, etc) a plus
