We are looking for someone to join our team as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) who provides therapy services to clients, focusing specifically on the relational and interpersonal dynamics within families, marriages, and couples and works collaboratively with staff involved in the care and treatment of clients.
This is an in-person position located in Malibu, California.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides individual, group, and family therapy
- Conducts psychosocial and functional assessments for assigned clients
- Actively participates in the multi-disciplinary team process by providing and sharing information with the Clinical Director and other team members that contributes to/positively impacts the overall plan of treatment for the client and family
- Assists the client and family in complying with the clinical/medical treatment initiated by the mental health staff such as offering strategies to cope with medication side effects
- Level II Additional duties: provide supervision to Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, and/or Associate Professional Clinical counselor

Qualification Guidelines:
Education/ Experience:
- Level I
- Current license as a Marriage & Family Therapist in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences required
- Masters degree in psychology, counseling, marriage & family counseling or social work required
- Two years’ experience in a mental health and/or chemical dependency setting preferred
- Experience dealing with clients and documentation in a hospital and/or mental health facility required
- Level II Additional Qualifications
- Meet and maintain all applicable California requirements to be a supervisor of Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, and Associate Professional Clinical Counselors
- Possess a current and active California License that is not under suspension or probation as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- Practiced psychotherapy during at lease two years out of the last five years, OR provided direct supervision to ACSWs, AMFTs, or APCCs who perform psychotherapy during at least two years out of the last five years prior to the commencement of supervision o Completed a minimum of 15 hours of specified supervision training within 60 days of the commencement of supervision and six hours of continuing professional development in supervision each renewal cycle thereafter

- Must satisfy post-offer, pre-employment conditions such as tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter), background check (including criminal and driving record check), drug screening, reference check. Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with law and company policy.
